Fog shrouded the village for much of the day, by mid afternoon a light wind cleared it away and sun appeared for a couple of hours.
A grey blanket of cloud was blown in on strengthening wind from the west before sundown.
The Frog Spawn that I removed from the pond on February 23rd has developed rapidly in the shelter of a warm shed. The Tadpoles are swimming freely.
I have placed the mini plastic aquarium in the shallows of the pond to allow the water temperature to adjust. I am reluctant to release the Tadpoles but will probably do it this weekend. The chance of a freeze must be minimal by now.
