Owl loves the Reeds

A day of mist, fog and calm wind of not more than 5 mph for most of the time. Highest speed recorded was 13 mph. The maximum temperature reached was 13.9 Celsius.

I was pleased to learn that recent attempts to film a Barn Owl in a specially constructed nest box at a site near Cokeham Reed beds have been successful.
The box has been placed at the top of a pole about 3.5 metres high and a camera relay installed. A short recording was made in low light as the Owl inspected the box for about two minutes before departing.
