At breakfast time today it had eased off in time for the walk to school.
Two red faced Goldfinches are regularly taking their breakfast and top-up snacks through the day at the Sunflower feeder and take almost no notice of the canes of Teasel I have left propped up in the shrubbery.
The Red Listed House Sparrows continue to pluck out the feathery seed heads of the Pampas plumes.
A solitary Greenfinch perches on a nearby feeder, takes one seed at a time, breaks the husk in it's beak to get at the kernel and repeats the process.
