April Showers?

Sunday Morning: The weather certainly did change!, it began raining at around 11 pm last night and continues to fall lightly but steadily at 7 am with no sign of clearing.
The wind is blowing as a moderate gale with gusts recorded up to 40 mph.
At this time of the morning the temperature is not impressive, the wind chill effect is being recorded at Shoreham as 4.9 C. Hope that improves later in the day.

The weather is not stopping the birds taking breakfast, two wet slightly bedraggled Goldfinch have been on the sunflower feeder.
They seem to be in no hurry and remain in the garden for a while when not feeding.
Sunday afternoon: The rain did ease by afternoon for a while but it returned late afternoon with some heavy showers. The total rain recorded is the greatest this month, possibly the highest daily rain fall of the year.
The wind remained strong until about 4 pm when it rapidly dropped away to a light breeze. The temperature managed a couragous 14.7 C at around mid-day when the day looked a little brighter, soon after it fell back, slowly at first and then sharply at around 4 pm, levelling off at around 9 C by 6 pm and falling further after dark
