Easter Eggs

Sunday: At 8:45 In sunshine and blue sky it is just warm enough to sit in the garden with a cup of tea listening to a cacophony of chirps, cheeps, coos and caws.
Most of the noise comes from a dozen or so highly vocal Sparrows. The males seem to be most vocal, perhaps anouncing that they have found their easter eggs. It occurs to me that they might be swearing at me for sitting near their feeding stations.
From over the garden boundaries the sounds of disputing Crows mix with the other chirps. A Collared Dove on the rooftop coos in lofty tones.
As the sun becomes obscured it feels cooler and I decide to go indoors and almost immediately a small group of Sparrows gather around the Sunflower feeder.
When they leave a group of male Greenfinch are bickering for priority on the two feeding stations. One will not allow another to perch at the same container even though there is room.
