A very warm day yesterday, at 24 C. the warmest of the year so far.
Pressure of work prevents me from describing the full abundance of nature around the village in all it's present glory.
Looking through the window during a tea break I can say the Hawthorn tree now in full bloom looks stunning.
In the pond the Flag Iris is showing thick stems supporting the closed flower buds. The blue Brooklime flowers have just begun to open, a week behind the Water Forget-me-not.
I have acquired a clump of Marsh Marigold Caltha palustris from a local garden source. I have split them up, washed and replanted enough for the area available. The remainder has been potted up for any other takers.
