Gardening Log

Very mild day for the time of year, a blanket of cloud acting as an insulator. The cloud parted for a couple of hours this afternoon and the sun came through pleasantly warm for an autumn garden task of removing a small Ash tree from the edge of a parking and garage area. The larger logs will be added to the log pile in my garden. The weaker twiggy bits have been shreddded for composting.
A tour round the small estate revealed plenty of bird activity in the trees and shrubs. The area has a good population of Blackbirds that have been reared from nests in the grounds.
