Holy butterfly wings
Well over 50 pairs of butterfly wings fluttered over the wildlife managed grasses of St James-the-less cemetary in north Lancing. Their owners were Meadow Brown and Gatekeeper at about a 50/50 split. In contrast the West Lane cemetary had just one White butterfly. The once overgrown site has recently been tidied up with closely mown pathways and sheared grass between the grave stones. This may have been done in response to pressure from relatives of the deceased occupants but it is badly timed and in total disregard of wildllife.
