Malthouse Meadow

I managed a short visit to Malthouse Meadow this morning in warm sun.

On the western edge where the meadow is sheltered from the wind I was able to spot Small White, Comma, Red Admiral, Speckled Wood and Small Copper butterflies in the space of about fifty yards.
This area of the perimeter is quite thickly filled with blackberry laden Bramble bushes. Behind them is an Ivy festooned flint wall. The Ivy is in flower and busy with flying insects.
A blue looking Dragonfly was hawking around the area picking off smaller flies in mid air.
A Rabbit did not appear to notice me and came within ten feet to graze on some of the herbage. It was apparently an old animal and it's eyes were almost closed and weepy.
It darted away when I made a sudden movement.
