The Birds and Bees

The earlier suspected Goldcrest in the Hawthorn tree at the bottom of the garden was corroborated with a new sighting today. It was possible to see the bird with binoculars and to make reference to a bird guide.

Later a Red Admiral with very tatty fragmented wings settled on the yellow flowers of a Golden Daisy Bush or Euryops in the sunny front garden. Meanwhile on the Rosemary a single Honeybee was taking advantage of the unseasonal flowering.
