It has been wet and windy gusting at 40 mph.
The sun is breaking through and a rainbow has formed in the northern arc of the sky.
A group of Starling are sheltering in the branches of the Hawthorn, a few Sparrows and a Greenfinch have returned to the feeders.
Most of the remaining persistent leaves have blown from the tree and deciduous shrubs such as Dogwood which has revealed it's green winter stems.
The Twisted Hazel (she's not bitter!) is now bare and showing inch long catkins on her curled snake-like branches.
A Yellow Jasmine is flowering on the fence giving a bright backdrop to the pond.
