Long awaited rain arrived during the day on Sunday. It wasn't exactly convenient because I was trying to paint a wrought Iron gate.
The most popular plant in the garden for Bees and Flies is the Cotoneaster frigidus 'cornubia'. It is currently displaying a mass of frothy white blossom which is clustered in flattened heads.
The Buff-tailed bumblebees from the nest in the air brick make a direct beeline for it before going further afield or returning to the nest with the goods.
