Budgerigar

Cycling past Golden Sands on the path from Beach Green to Widewater I caught sight of a blue coloured bird as it came over the caravans. It disappeared from view at the foot of the bank near a parked car.
"That's not a wild bird ! " I thought. It did not reappear so I climbed down the bank to find it.
Under the car was a very cold looking Budgerigar. With my bike pump as a make-shift stick I coaxed it out and 'netted' it with my woolly hat. With it inside my coat I took it home and transferred it to a handy portable plastic vivarium and delivered it to Grove Lodge vetinary centre in Worthing.
