Nocturnal Noise Emissions
The shrieks of mating Red Foxes alerted me to their presence at around 3am this morning.
On looking out into the moonlit darkness we could see that our front garden was the focus of activity. They seemed to become aware of curtains twitching and moved a little way down the road. One sat nonchalantly on the pavement under the light of a streetlamp. The other crossed the road to the cover of a parked car. I returned to bed and heard nothing more.
